This training course focuses on installation, backup strategies and error removal for an MS SQL server and corresponding DWH applications, as well as administration of the MS TFS. The course expands the specific and practical expertise of system administrators of MS SQL servers. PTA experts provide relevant support for this course.
Supplement
The project builds on existing knowledge of DB and system administration. Training is provided for the initial repetition of MS SQL CRUD operations. Then the partial and full file backup, as well as the partitioning of DB’s and monitoring are trained. Another component is the user and role concept, as well as rights management in the MS SQL server. Additional subjects include the construction of a data warehouse, the ETL process in the MS SQL Server and the MS Team Foundation Server.
Subject description
The project develops and evaluates existing technical competence of the participating employees of the DB and system administration. The project includes CRUD operations, installations, backup strategies and error clearing in MS SQL Server Management Studio. Further training includes expertise development for DWH technology and MS SQL BI tools. The project covers MS SQL Server 2008 and then MS SQL Server 2012 with SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and DQS. Training for MS TFS is also provided.
