Brief description
Setup of a system to evaluate patents based on compliance with patent applications, release of patents. Central patent information is delivered to the system via an interface. The patents are evaluated via this system. To enable this, complex evaluation/report functions are defined.
Supplement
The system uses client-server architecture consisting of an SQL Server 2005 database, as well as a client application based on .NET 2.0 (Visual Studio 2008 Prof.). The system has an automatic update and after the initial installation it is capable of fully or partially renewing its own data, if necessary. The import interface accesses a view of an Oracle database (version 10g).
Subject description
The customer constantly checks their own patent applications to determine whether they must be complied with absolutely for certain reasons (e.g. existing contracts), or whether, based on many functional considerations, to allow a patent to expire. The evaluation and final decision are based on a combination of about 15 different factors.
