The assessment is based on the requirements from the job descriptions, which are adopted as “target values.” The assessments are transferred into SAP as results. A polished authorization concept secures access to the sensitive data.

The solution is implemented with standard Lotus Notes functions and VBA (MS Word 2003). The Word documents are created exclusively using Lotus Notes. Focal points of the development are simple yet flexible operation, the creation of CI-compliant print documents, and a polished authorization concept in order to protect the sensitive data. The data are transferred to SAP via an interface file. The system is highly configurable by the users in order to achieve the necessary flexibility.
Subject description
Managers should conduct regular assessment meetings efficiently, uniformly, and with high quality. Planning data of the prior year should be available for the assessment of the actual state. The employees’ performance should be compared with the requirements from the job description. The job descriptions are stored in a separate database. Employees can be active in different departments during the period of observation (1 year), in which case several assessments must be combined. The system should not be an additional personnel management system.
