Planing-Tool for finance modeling

Brief description
The aim of the project is to provide a tool to the group functions to consolidate different data coming from the business units. All business units provide the data in the format of a Microsoft Excel file. All these files shall be controlled by one main excel file. This file take over the versioning, the aggregation and the consolidation of all the data, which arrives from the business units.

The process is a mixture between classical process model and agile processes. The technology used is Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
Subject description
The expected result of the group and the group performance is an important function of the group functions. This is includes also internal group reporting, group planning and modelling. The financial models use date from the past to provide a forecast of for the result. Also the adjustments of the financial data based on the budget helps to improve the quality of the forecast. Every business unit has to provide there plan data to the group function. The data is provided in excel file. They are based on the standard excel template for their division.
