Point of care instrument driver development

Brief description
Development of a point of care instrument driver for a hospital database management system using the POCT1-A protocol. The connection to this applicatio is done via web services.
Subject description
In medical diagnostics instruments are used not only in laboratories but more and more in the ward. Nevertheless these instruments have to be managed centrally and have to communicate with the laboratory information systems. The speciality is that the instruments are not permanently connected to the data basis. Most time the measures are made offline at the patients bed and data are synchronized when the instrument is placed in the docking station using especially developed instument drivers.
