Process optimization B2C e-commerce: Selection of the appropriate transport management system

Brief description
Consulting on the selection of a transport management system. The initial question was: Are the transport management systems of the trading company that have been in use so far also functionally suitable for the future B2C market?
Supplement
The starting point of the analysis is the thesis that there is a structural shift in the industry from package orders to palletized or bulky goods. It is now being worked out which other or further functions will have to be expected by a (future) Transport Management System (TMS). This is examined with regard to the pricing model, customer service and legal regulations (e. g. with regard to dangerous goods). The result is that significant new requirements can be expected in all three areas, so that a new TMS is recommended.
