Prototype for processing electronic balance sheets for customer rating
Project duration: 2 years, 5 months
Brief description
Within the scope of lending for companies, their annual financial statements are used to calculate credit terms. Beginning with the 2012 financial statement, annual accounts must be submitted to tax authorities by means of the electronic XBRL format in accordance with §5b EStG . For loan processing, these financial statements have so far been created electronically, printed out, sent to the bank and then entered again manually in the bank.
Supplement
The PTA XBRL Adapter solution, developed as data input interface, offers import of XBRL taxonomies as well as of specific balance sheets (XBRL instances) and is further developed to provide a complete test suite for testing minimal XBRL compliance, EBICS support, Java 8 update including Jenkins -based Continuous Integration, an improved Exception / Validation API for detailed post analysis of an instance or taxonomy import, optimization of the test coverage (Eclemma-based) as well as documentation of the implemented refactoring / consolidation .
Subject description
PTA creates a prototype as proof of concept. The individual components are developed example-wise in order to be able to shape them in accordance with the customer. The individual components are an XBRL adapter, a matching algorithm and an employee dialog. The adapter is the data input interface. It is implemented in Java. The matching algorithm is database-driven and can optionally be implemented with SAS or other BI software. The employee dialog is used for balance sheet revision and is implemented using Java Swing. The goal is the automatic recording and processing of XBRL annual financial statements as part of the customer system. As a result, a reduction in costs, an increase in efficiency and an improvement of data quality, mainly owing to the elimination of media discontinuity, is expected.
