Replacement of a supply chain management system

Brief description
Performing an analysis for replacement of a supply chain management system for major construction sites due to a lack of expandability in the application currently used. The analysis involves comparing the customer requirements against a logistics system already developed by PTA on the basis of C#.Net. To specify the planned implementation in detail, missing functions are identified and the degree of coverage is determined.
Supplement
The logistics system developed at PTA is an application suite consisting of a home module and various satellite applications (supplier module, site module, subcontractor module, other modules in the conceptual stage or implemented as a prototype). The application suite is designed and implemented as a decentralized solution. Each partial application forms an independent desktop application with dedicated data storage. The satellite applications are provided on site to the suppliers and construction sites in the form of a local installation. The application is based on C#.Net. Data is stored centrally with an Oracle database. MS Access is used in the decentralized modules.
