Brief description
Development and further development of a data processing system for supporting laboratory equipment. The system manages different types of laboratory device and forms the interface to a laboratory information system.

Key tasks performed by the system include supporting complex work processes in the laboratory. These include managing and distributing patient samples of varying kinds (such as blood and urine), archiving patient samples, implementing a standard interface to the laboratory information system, and performing quality control of patient samples.
Subject description
Analytical, pre-analytical, and post-analytical instruments communicate events via messages (ASTM or HL7). To support fully automatic laboratories, these messages have to be evaluated and answered in accordance with a laboratory configuration, so that samples can be distributed in a more targeted manner. Of crucial importance here is the complexity of the work processes being mapped (aliquoting, load balancing, fast processing, etc.).
