SAP authorization management for BW
Project duration: 6 months
Brief description
In an SAP R/3 environment, the authorization concept is rolled out for new SAP BW and SEM-BPS systems that are to be introduced. The authorization concept is to be expanded to meet the BW reporting requirements.
Supplement
The available roles for Basis transactions are copied. New roles are to be created for the BW transactions. Access rights for reports are set at the characteristics level and are managed using planning areas. The user administration is carried out by means of CUA (Central User Administration).
Subject description
The application is used to control IT projects. The actual data is recorded using CATS (Computer Aided Time Sheet) and posted in PS and CO. Planning takes place in SEM-BPS (Business Planning System). The data is merged in BW and hierarchical evaluations and target/actual comparisons are made.
