SAP BI: Preliminary analysis of new system landscape
Project duration: 6 months
Brief description
The existing system landscape will be renewed in the coming years. The main component is the migration to new SAP products such as S/4 HANA, Service Cloud and Sales Cloud. This will have far-reaching consequences for the existing SAP BW on HANA. To minimize risks, these are considered holistically as part of a preliminary analysis. PTA provides support and advice.

The functional data structures and technical connection as well as the distribution of logic and responsibilities between the systems are changing for almost all important source systems. SAP Retail and SAP EWM become S/4 HANA. SAP CRM becomes SAP Service Cloud and SAP Sales Cloud. Then there is the question of integrated reporting old / new world. And finally, it must be determined in which systems, constellations and scenarios the BI landscape itself will be set up in parallel. Options and topics include SAC, Datasphere and BW/4 HANA, including possible intermediate steps and hybrid scenarios.
Subject description
In ERP and logistics, the complex, evolved structure of the legacy systems is to be broken up and redesigned in S/4 HANA in line with the new conditions. In the CRM and sales/omnichannel area, both sales (Sales Cloud) and the contact center (Service Cloud) are to be redesigned on the basis of a new central customer base. All of this is to take place in a new, modern reporting system using embedded analytics, self-service and a more KPI/dashboard-oriented approach, moving away from Excel lists.
