The data from an external system, in which purchasing materials are grouped into catalogs, is linked with the data from purchasing across the Group using matching rules, so that cross-regional savings potential can be identified. The implementation includes the steps data extraction, transformation and programming of matching rules as well as the visualization of data in reports.

The application is used for controlling the purchasing processes of a business area. The combination of external market data with actual purchasing data allows the analysis of savings potential.
