SAP BW on HANA: Implementation of Logistics Process Controlling
Brief description
A logistics process control system is being implemented, thereby establishing a structured framework for planning, managing, and monitoring logistics processes within the logistics organization. PTA provides support in designing and implementing the resulting value driver trees and KPIs in SAP BW and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
Supplement
The motivation stems from the realization that process controlling in logistics has not yet been implemented in a systematic and targeted manner. Therefore, a standardized, fact-based management tool is being established to enable a well-founded evaluation of process optimizations, proactively manage processes, allocate resources efficiently and effectively, and provide transparency regarding the performance and quality of logistics processes. The technical foundation is the consolidation of source data from transport management, SAP EWM, SAP ERP, and the WinSped logistics software in SAP BW. The goal is to provide selected users in the department with a comprehensive self-service database for analyses and evaluations in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
Subject description
The goal is to sustainably improve the efficiency, transparency, and cost-effectiveness of logistics processes through targeted metrics, analyses, and measures. This enables continuous improvement in logistics and lays the groundwork for data-driven decisions in both operational and strategic management.
