Subject description
The aim is to optimize the raw production process. Raw production faults (the specific case involves a piston foundry) are generally found in manufacturing. There is a precise differentiation according to fault location, fault cause and fault type. The individual faults can be traced back in the evaluation to a specific raw production shift. Noticeably high error rates for specific products are an indication that the manufacturing process needs to be improved.
