SAP ERP 6.0: Migration and reorganization for a plant engineering company

Brief description
The SAP system of a plant engineering company is migrated to the SAP ERP 6.0 of the purchasing company. As well as adjustments of the organizational structure, a new controlling concept must be implemented and migration of SD enhancements to the previous ERP system must be performed. The entire data stock is migrated to the new system environment.

The data migration is supported from a service provider using an SLO tools (System Landscape Optimization). Additional mappings and migration steps are required due to structural changes (e.g. conversion of project numbers, creation of sales orders, combination of controlling areas).
Subject description
The new company implements a standard controlling principle that provides the project manager with greater support in plant engineering with SAP functions. To implement this concept, the previous SAP organizational structure based on business areas must be converted. On the one hand, this leads to the conversion of organizational elements and definitions (e.g. the WBS number). On the other hand, interfaces and add-ons must be adjusted, particularly for order calculation in SD. The billing programs support measurement, invoice creation using service specifications (SS), and forwarding to Financial Accounting.
