SAP ERP 6.0 System Separation (Carve-Out) for one company code

Brief description
System separation (carve-out) from an SAP ERP 6.0 system, which is used jointly with the customer's former group of companies. The tool used is SAP SLT (System Landscape Transformation), which is available in the source system. This means that the SAP standard functionality for 'Company Carve-Out (Company Code Deletion)' can be used.
Supplement
The customer's SAP ERP system is to be operated in a data center of a new external service provider. Thus, the carve-out is also associated with a system move, so that part of the project work is performed in the new environment in which the SAP Solution Manager is installed, which can then also be used for the process analyses carried out and, if necessary, for the project and test management of the carve-out project. The previously used operating system Windows NT will be replaced by a Unix system. An SAP MaxDB database is implemented as the database instead of the previously used Oracle Database 12.
Subject description
The actual CarveOut project is preceded by an analysis of the ERP system and the requirements of the participating companies for system separation and project implementation, which must comply with the relevant compliance rules. In addition, project planning is created and coordinated. The company code is detached from the source data center. The resulting new system is installed in the target data center by means of a heterogeneous system copy and tested in cooperation with the specialist departments. After the system separation, the customer will use his own SAP system with a company code. The modules used are FI, CO, SD, MM, PP-PI (master data management only) and QM.
