SAP ERP 6.0: Unicode Konvertierung

Brief description
As part of a major system upgrade to SAP ERP 6.07 with a simultaneous move to new hardware, the ERP system is converted to Unicode. The SAP module Human Resources (HR) with interfaces to the statutory health insurance and the tax office is mainly used. With the Unicode conversion, the system will be future-proof for further upgrades such as to EHP8.
Supplement
The SAP ERP system landscape consists of a 2 system landscape, which is extended to a 3 system landscape within the scope of the project, so that the Unicode conversion can be tested sufficiently. The conversion of the programs will be carried out by ABAP developers. The customer is responsible for the technical tests and acceptance. The actual conversion takes place as part of the system migration to new hardware, since a database export is required for this. With the import to the new hardware, the actual Unicode conversion or the conversion to Unicode takes place.
Subject description
As part of the project, PTA GmbH adapts the existing ABAP programs developed or modified by the customer to Unicode. These are determined with the help of a Unicode check program provided by SAP, which displays the code locations to be adapted.
