SAP NetWeaver System Migration from Oracle Database to SAP MaxDB

This IT project is part of our digitalization and optimization of our customers’ IT landscape. Through targeted measures, we promote technological progress, optimize cross-system processes and create a sustainable basis for future developments. Our IT reference projects serve as a basis for orientation. They support the reusability of tried and tested concepts as part of project implementation.

Project duration: 5 months

Brief description

Migration of an existing SAP NetWeaver ABAP 7.0 system landscape for SAP ERP 6.0 from Oracle Database to MaxDB. During the migration, SAP NetWeaver 7.0 is upgraded to SAP NetWeaver 7.40 and a Unicode conversion is performed.

Supplement

The system landscape consists of 3 systems (development, test and production system), which are migrated one after the other. In addition to the migration, the systems are moved to a new system environment at the same time.

Subject description

Within the scope of the project, the previous Oracle databases are to be replaced and converted to SAP databases. In addition, the existing hardware will be updated and the operating system changed. The migration requires a database export, so that at the same time a Unicode conversion is carried out, in order to avoid a further export for a Unicode conversion.
