As part of the support and monitoring of interfaces implemented on SAP-PI/PO, it is important to ensure that all interfaces are working correctly. In the event of interface malfunctions and failures, tasks include troubleshooting in the SAP-PI/PO system, providing information, and coordinating the interface consumers involved. If necessary, the interfaces are adapted and end-to-end testing is supported. The existing documentation is continuously expanded to include the context of the respective overall process.
Supplement
The range of implemented interfaces includes file, SOAP, REST, RFC, and IDOC adapters. Standard functionalities are mostly used for mapping. In more complex cases, Java developments are used. For the majority of interfaces, an alerting system is configured that sends emails to a defined distribution list in the event of an error. Data is usually exchanged between SAP systems and non-SAP systems via SAP PO. In a few cases, data is transferred between SAP systems and SAP systems. The non-SAP systems are located within or outside the group network.
Subject description
The interfaces enable integration scenarios from the areas of FI/CO, SD, and HR to be implemented. This includes, for example, posting invoices from the external invoice receipt system in the SAP ERP system, exchanging data for project controlling between SAP ERP and a third-party tool, sending requests from SAP ERP to suppliers regarding the availability of products, and posting and creating purchase orders in the SAP ERP system from an external ordering system. Furthermore, data is exchanged between SAP ERP and the CRM system via PO.
