Brief description
Support and cooperation on release upgrade from SAP R/3 4.6C to SAP ERP 6.0 for a system that is used by several companies in a plant engineering corporation.
Supplement
The system is run in an external computer center from which basic support is also provided. The basic tasks in the upgrade procedure are carried out by the team and coordinated with the other project activities. It is also important to consider that add-ons for device management in the new version are provided by an external service provider and that in-house developments – particularly in the areas of PS (project reports, construction charts) and order processing / billing – are checked based on specifications and price lists.
Subject description
A technical upgrade is performed, making programs Unicode-capable to enable quick action in the event of further expansions in CEE countries (Central and Eastern Europe) if a single code page solution is no longer sufficient for country-specific language adjustments.
