Project duration: 1 year, 6 months
Brief description
Support for an SAP S/4HANA implementation at a customer in a cross-divisional function. Development and documentation of a comprehensive operations manual with standardized specifications, processes and guidelines for SAP operations in a complex, company-wide IT environment.
Supplement
As part of the introduction of an SAP S/4HANA system for the retail sector, the introduction of an operating manual was coordinated and implemented as a binding basis for ongoing operations. Sustainable operational structures were introduced in coordination with project members, specialist departments and IT, which meet the customer's technical and procedural requirements. Structured guidelines were developed to document relevant operational aspects in a standardized manner and to define responsibilities, processes and escalation paths.
Subject description
An operations manual was created that documents central processes and standards for SAP operations. The focus was on defining a company-wide coordinated release strategy and a structured change process in SAP Solution Manager 7.2 in conjunction with Jira. In addition, a uniform ITSM process for processing incidents and service requests with various input channels was defined, including classification, prioritization and escalation. SAP Focused Run and SAP Cloud ALM were used for technical and functional monitoring, including job monitoring for the early detection of faults in the background. Regular performance and stability assurance measures were established in the area of housekeeping. The topic of security was addressed through a consistent role and authorization concept as well as defined security guidelines in the SAP context. The content was coordinated across departments and bundled in the operating manual.
