Setting up a new reporting platform based on the MS-BI stack

Brief description
A new MS SQL 2012-based data warehouse and reporting platform is set up for controlling and management of online movement data. To this end, servers are installed and administered, and continuous integration and automatic deployment are developed.
Supplement
This complete, Scrum-driven new development enables various specialized controlling departments to evaluate movement data for an online shop. In this connection, overviews are created in the project in the form of reports, which also allow specialist users to perform exploratory searches using Excel within the multi-dimensional cube. Multiple powerful servers are used for this application.
Subject description
Data quality and the performance of the reports and cube have primary importance for controlling. Data quality is ensured by using test-driven development, nightly builds and automated functional tests, while the above performance aspects are ensured by dedicated server architecture using an OLAP platform (distribution of distinct key figures and column-store indices). A special feature of this project is setting up continuous integration in the BI environment as well as fully automatic deployment of the individual components of the Microsoft BI stack.
