Shell scripts for text transforms

This IT project is part of our digitalization and optimization of our customers’ IT landscape. Through targeted measures, we promote technological progress, optimize cross-system processes and create a sustainable basis for future developments. Our IT reference projects serve as a basis for orientation. They support the reusability of tried and tested concepts as part of project implementation.

Project duration: 1 month

Brief description

The objective of the project is to transform or adapt structured text files (*.csv) to the given requirements of the customer using awk operations. The awk operations are incorporated into a newly developed shell script and provided for implementation. The result is a structured *.csv file according to the stakeholder's specifications.

Subject description

Ongoing business transactions are largely responsible for the rise in bank-specific data. As a result of the continuously rising volume of these transactions at the customer, it has become mandatory for the corresponding business transactions to be adapted to changing requirements on a periodic basis and documented efficiently so as to avoid corresponding translation errors. The structured text files to be replaced do not meet the new requirements, as a result of which the project ensures that the functional requirements meet the new outline conditions with the developed software.
