Software maintenance of PL/1 programs on host

Brief description
Maintenance of existing PL/1 programs, jobs and data stocks in the online and batch production environments. This includes error handling, performance improvements and minor enhancements to the existing systems.
Supplement
The software is delivered in separate releases that also contain the associated software modules. This is supported by configuration management, using CCM. All of the software development is carried out using text editors in a Linux system. The necessary translations are performed with the help of small tools on the host. Communication between Linux and the host is via FTP. The mainframe jobs are also triggered via FTP by Linux. The data for the supported software is either in a DB2 database, an IMS database or in VSAM files or sequential host files. The user interfaces involve 3270 screens.
Subject description
Carrying out necessary, functionally motivated program adjustments in order to sustain fault-free, high performance productive operations. These functional support tasks can be attributed to additional screen fields, minor adjustments to the program logic or minor data cleanup, for example.
