Standardization of HL7 communication of medical devices and software

Brief description
The application of standards plays an important role in the development of medical devices and medical software. The customer manufactures a wide range of medical devices and software and wants to standardize the HL7 communication protocols. The Project goal was consolidation of the requirements provided by different product Teams.
Supplement
International standards, such as Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) and Health Level Seven (HL7), as well as internal customer standards serve as a source for the requirements in this project. The present project also serves as a pilot project for a new customer process to standardize the communication between medical devices/medical software in the context of a diagnostic laboratory. The documentation of different process sections is implemented, which differ in the level of detail of the requirements described.
