Support and expansion of various IT systems
Brief description
The existing IT functionalities (electronic invoice processing, data warehouse, data hub, multidimensional evaluation with Tabular Model, automatic report distribution via email) at the German retail branch of a global corporation are being expanded to include a middleware layer that enables bidirectional communication between the newly introduced merchandise management system (MS Business Central) and the outside world.
Supplement
As part of the introduction of middleware, external systems such as third-party cash registers (Toshiba, helloTESS, Oracle Symphony, or OktoPOS) or beverage vending machines are connected. Electronic price tags are also supplied with the necessary master data for display. Due to the global corporation's strategy, the entire on-premises environment will be migrated to MS Azure.
Subject description
All process steps in the existing and new modules are supported by detailed monitoring functions that enable rapid error analysis and correction. They also enable continuous improvement of the individual process steps.
