This IT project is part of our digitalization and optimization of our customers’ IT landscape. Through targeted measures, we promote technological progress, optimize cross-system processes and create a sustainable basis for future developments. Our IT reference projects serve as a basis for orientation. They support the reusability of tried and tested concepts as part of project implementation.

Project duration: 1 year, 8 months

Brief description

The support contract covers maintenance of the securities trading system, which will be upgraded to a modernized development environment as part of ongoing support. Support services are provided based on ITIL-aligned service management processes and include second- and third-level activities such as error analysis and troubleshooting.

Supplement

The software solution provides users with optimal process support for handling securities transactions and enables efficient, time-saving entry of securities submissions. Initially, PTA developed the IT concept, implemented the application-including quality assurance-migrated the legacy data, and provided support during the go-live phase. As part of ongoing support, Trivy is introduced as a security scanner; the resulting requirements lead to an update of the Java and Angular versions. The front end is based on Angular with Angular Material and NGXS, while the back end is based on OpenJDK/Java with Spring Boot. The front end and back end communicate via REST services and JSON. The software architecture is designed by PTA in accordance with the client´s specifications. Automated front-end and back-end tests, including those using SonarQube and Trivy, are used for quality assurance.

Subject description

The application supports the processing of securities transactions. This includes the submission of income and interest coupons, dividend coupons, and securities due for redemption. In this context, the program generates journal entries to execute the payments. For each payment, the application generates several different documents, which are sent to the end customer, the submitting bank, or the issuer. In a secondary process, the application provides automated processing of securities transactions by reading so-called SWIFT messages. In this process as well, journal entries are posted and documents are generated.
