Uploading MS Excel Files for Large Data Submissions
Brief description
To simplify the reporting process, the responsible distribution system operators are able to fulfill their reporting obligations to the transmission system operator (TSO) responsible for the control area-in connection with the annual controllability check and EEG settlement-by uploading easy-to-fill-out Excel forms provided specifically for this purpose via the TSO´s portal. Extensive content checks are performed during this process, and in the event of errors, the results are conveniently and intuitively integrated directly into the uploaded form. The form, including the feedback, can then be downloaded and re-uploaded for further processing until all reports it contains can be accepted.

The EEG Internet portal is based on Java and consists of two components that exchange information exclusively via web services. The persistent data is stored in an Oracle database using a persistence framework.
Subject description
The master data reports are XLSX files containing multiple worksheets, one of which may contain asset master data if the data for the specified assets is not yet available in the Market Master Data Registry (MaStR). Another worksheet contains information on the forms of disposal for these assets, as well as for other assets whose master data is available via the MaStR. This data is validated without first being persisted in the database, resulting in significantly better performance than the previous process. The checks performed not only apply to rules for individual asset or disposal type data records but also detect violations of complex group rules regarding disposal types, balancing groups, and time slices. These checks are an essential part of the settlement process, which is significantly supported by the portal.
