Use of Data from the Market Master Data Registry in the EEG Billing Process
Brief description
After the data from the Market Master Data Registry (MaStR) was consolidated over an extended period using specially developed analyses, this MaStR data is now being used as the primary source within the project, i.e., it is primarily used to validate the billing of EEG subsidies, thereby eliminating the need for a separate reporting process for EEG plants, improving transparency, and avoiding duplicate data storage.

The TSO handles EEG processing using a Java-based, distributed application that runs on the Apache TomEE Application Server and uses Oracle as its database; on the customer side, this is handled through the TSO´s EEG web portal, which runs on the Apache Tomcat web server and also uses Oracle as its database.
Subject description
Under the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), a transmission system operator (TSO) has, among other things, the following responsibilities: (a) Acceptance and payment for the energy recorded by distribution system operators (DSOs) within its control area in accordance with the EEG. (b) Recording the energy purchased (quantity and time series) and the remuneration payments made. (c) Balancing the purchased energy and the remuneration paid among the four TSOs in Germany. (d) Marketing EEG feed-in on an energy exchange.
