For an existing web application that allows messages and contribution statements to be sent securely and conveniently online, a new UX-based interaction concept is being created and accessibility is being taken into account in accordance with WCAG 2.2 (Level AA). The starting point is the derivation of usage objects from known usage scenarios; an initial risk assessment of possible operating errors is being carried out. The UI design is being modernized, which will noticeably improve the UX.
Supplement
As part of the audit, a combined heuristic and rule compliance analysis was performed. Navigation (including keyboard operability), perceptibility, interaction, and responsiveness were systematically checked for compliance with WCAG 2.2 (Level AA). The aim was to identify areas for optimization in order to develop a modern, user-friendly UI design. In addition, functional enhancements were derived to support end users in efficiently completing tasks.
Subject description
Layout and interaction paths are specified. The derived GUI objects, features, and user stories with acceptance criteria (including WCAG 2.2, Level AA) are stored in Azure DevOps for implementation. As part of the acceptance process, the user stories are validated using a usability and accessibility checklist; anticipated operating errors are risk-assessed and appropriate countermeasures are defined.
