Validation and development of build processes in a laboratory information system development

Brief description
The customer's laboratory information system is sold worldwide. The development process must ensure that releases of various sizes (product updates, service patches, hot fixes) are created promptly and, as much as possible, automatically. As part of the project, the build process will be analyzed, and requirements will be defined and implemented.
Supplement
The build process is re-evaluated with each release cycle, and various requirements are identified and implemented. Product updates are released twice a year, with service patches released in between and hot fixes provided as needed for individual customers or regions. Validation is conducted on a risk-based basis to keep testing efforts to a minimum.
Subject description
This implementation reduces the time between the end of the implementation and the V&V phase. With the introduction of continuous integration, builds are no longer created manually; instead, they are generated automatically every night, ensuring that a test version is available at all times.
