Verification of a data migration

Brief description
During the implementation of health insurance company standard software, the service settlements of an old system must be migrated. PTA supports the customer in verifying the data migration.
Supplement
Development of data migration is implemented iteratively in several cycles during the project. In parallel with the development cycles of the data migration, the test team develops tools for checking the completeness and correctness of the data transfer. The objective of the verification is a reconciliation report with which the customer can assess the quality of the data migration and therefore decide on its release.
Subject description
Within the project, the service processing functionality is added to the new standard software used by the customer. For functional and technical reasons, it is necessary to include all services processed over the last five years in the new system. In the customer's case, this consists of 65 million service settlements. To avoid being reliant solely upon functional samples, additional technical tests are also designed. The objective of this test is to check the entire data quantity automatically in as much detail as possible.
