Brief description
Preparation, carrying out and evaluation of a workshop for project definition and planning of the release upgrade for a SAP R/3 automotive system to mySAP ERP 2005 (now called SAP ERP 6.0).
Supplement
Besides implementing the SAP Solution Manager, which has to be used for the installation of SAP ECC 6.0, additional modules of the SAP Business Suite like SAP BW (now called SAP BI) for business intelligence, SAP XI (now SAP PI) for data communications and Redwood Cronacle (now CPS) for job scheduling are considered.
Subject description
Together with the SAP team of the customer migration scenarios are discussed and validated. The current and planned projects have to be considered too. The result is a decisions template, which describes the preferred solution containing project plan with deliverables, efforts, dates and cost. Besides the release upgrade the ABAP reports have to be Unicode enabled and the change to a longer material ID is considered.
