SAP BW on HANA: Introduction of process-oriented KPIs
Project duration: 9 months
Brief description
A process-oriented KPI system is being set up for logistics. The data for reporting comes from SAP (EWM, Retail, BW) as well as non-SAP sources (transport management system, customer's own store merchandise management system, WebShops, etc.) and is collected, harmonized, prepared and distributed via SAP BW as the central BI tool. PTA is active in SAP BW in analysis, conception, data modeling and implementation.
Supplement
The evaluations are mapped to the target group either in SAC dashboards, in AfO queries or distributed via BOE scheduling. The KPIs are coordinated and set up across all systems. First, the KPI system for the pilot area of incoming goods is set up, and the options of the various front ends are presented to the users as a prototype.
Subject description
The customer's logistics department is being reorganized. Up to now, the responsibilities lay with regional (head office, import warehouse, regional warehouse, etc.) or functional (transport management, warehouse management, procurement logistics, etc.) islands. In the future, individual areas will be responsible for an entire business process, e.g., WE or WA, across systems and locations. Hence the refocusing on process-oriented reporting.
