Brief description
Development and operation of a central information system for the structured storage of technical configuration data. The platform serves as a 'Single Source of Truth' for distributed IT components and enables extensive automation of deployment and management processes through a modern API-first architecture.
Supplement
Through the platform, all configuration data is now centrally bundled and orchestrated. This decouples configurations from scripts, eliminates manual ticketing processes, and ensures transparency of the target and actual state of distributed systems at all times (e.g., at decentralized locations). The system consolidates data from various adjacent systems (such as master data, network, infrastructure, and mobile device management services) and makes it available to automated processes.
Subject description
Automated Server Installations: Provisioning target-state data via API for automation tools (e.g., Ansible) to deploy decentralized servers without manual ticket processing. Mobile Device Management: Replacing local list files with a centralized web interface. Mobile end devices automatically fetch their initial configuration and updates via API. Centralized Documentation: Consolidating distributed site and warehouse master data to automatically generate standardized documentation. Real-Time Synchronization: Utilizing lightweight messaging to immediately notify end devices of configuration changes.
