Brief description
The existing intranet application for managing and issuing tools (project number 6183) will be expanded with functional and technical optimizations after an initial productive usage phase. This will integrate the option of transferring items between storage locations. Furthermore, a functional option will be created to identify equipment using multiple assigned barcodes. To ensure data protection requirements are met, automated anonymization of historical loan transactions and additional protection of the provided evaluations against unauthorized access will be provided.

The existing application is designed as a .Net 8 web application in the model-view-controller architecture model. The data is managed centrally in a Microsoft SQL Server 2022 database. To anonymize historical loan transactions, an automated database job has been implemented that regularly anonymizes completed loan transactions. The affected data records are marked as anonymous in the corresponding reports and evaluations. The new functionalities for transferring items to other distribution points and recording alternative barcodes for items were designed and implemented in close consultation with the specialist departments.
Subject description
The existing tool issue application was further developed with a particular focus on future organizational changes at the customer's site. The transfer of items between departments and the flexible labeling of items using additional barcodes play a key role in this context. The integration of an anonymization function for historical, completed loan transactions now ensures that the usage history is displayed in full in the reports in a manner that complies with data protection regulations.
