Marketing mailing extension for gamification and survey campaigns

This IT project is part of our digitalization and optimization of our customers’ IT landscape. Through targeted measures, we promote technological progress, optimize cross-system processes and create a sustainable basis for future developments. Brief description

An extension of the existing marketing and campaign processes was implemented to enable the execution of gamification and survey campaigns. The project's goal was to enhance the functionality of marketing emails, manage personalized campaigns more efficiently, and improve the evaluation of campaign results. As part of the solution, a REST API web service was provided, enabling the integration of various systems. This included connecting the Optimizely Campaign REST API to automate the management of marketing campaigns directly from the CRM system and to provide recipient data for mailings. For the technical implementation, console applications were developed that extract and process marketing-relevant campaign and recipient data from the CRM system and transfer it to Optimizely Campaign via the interface. Additionally, the CRM system was functionally extended to meet the requirements of the gamification and survey campaigns.

Furthermore, an interface to a coupon generator was integrated to automatically generate and distribute coupon codes as part of the campaigns. To analyze campaign performance, Power BI reports were created that visualize key performance indicators (KPIs), participation rates, and other relevant marketing metrics, thus supporting data-driven optimization of future campaigns.

Subject description

A solution was implemented for a public transport company to provide expert support and execute marketing mailing campaigns in the context of gamification and surveys. The goal was to further automate marketing activities, enable personalized communication, and transparently evaluate campaign results. The solution allows for the execution of marketing campaigns in which participants, for example, enter contests or surveys. Depending on the campaign's progress and results, targeted communication is initiated with participants, such as participation confirmations, winner and loser notifications, and the provision of personalized coupon codes. The solution supports the automated processing of campaign and recipient data, as well as the management of mailing communication. This enables efficient campaign planning, execution, and targeted management.
