Brief description
Replacing a Japanese reporting solution based on UNIX and an Oracle DB with a globally defined data warehouse. Sales figures, wholesaler transactions and pricing are also included, as well as country-specific customer and product data.
Supplement
In Japan, the local FACT (Fundamental Account Tracking) system is replaced with PRISMA. Specific Japanese features are considered here, such as the national wholesaler data networks JD-NET (Japan Drug Network), NHI (Nihon Health Industry) and the Ultmark customer file system.
Subject description
Japan has a mature pharmaceuticals market. Products in some business areas are distributed and sold via wholesalers, others are sold directly to customers. A special pricing and monitoring system is necessary here. A large quantity of information is provided by standardized national networks for Japan: JD-NET (Japan Drug Network, orders and sales), NHI (Nihon Health Industry, sales), Ultmark (customer data).
