SAP BW on HANA: Transformation of logistics reporting
Brief description
The outdated reporting is being overhauled in several respects, both in terms of content and structure as well as technically. On the one hand, we are moving towards process-oriented reporting of KPIs, away from the previous list and Excel-oriented approach. On the other hand, the associated front ends are being adapted, moving away from AfO/BO to SAC dashboards. PTA acts as a consultant and implements the relevant adjustments in SAP BW on HANA.
Supplement
This is happening in parallel with the development of the future S/4-based system landscape. The resulting dependencies, both technically and in terms of the capacities of those involved in the project, represent a challenge that should not be underestimated. PTA advises at the interface between specialist departments, IT and project organization.
Subject description
The technical challenge is to get the departments away from the old approach of collecting all the data and preparing it themselves in Excel. Instead, the aim is to be clear in advance about the criteria that are decisive for the success of the sub-processes and to define target values, threshold values, alternative courses of action and how to monitor their success.
