The OKR method is used for the structured development and strategic advancement of the Project Management BU. The OKR method helps to define short-, medium-, and long-term goals as well as the steps required to achieve these goals. Through an iterative process, in this case in tertials, the OKRs are regularly reviewed and adjusted to ensure that the measures are up to date and necessary.
Supplement
Viva Goals was initially used to create and track the OKRs. The OKRs are defined in a planning session, taking into account previous retrospectives, and set for the next four months. Emphasis is placed on alignment with and development towards the mid-term goals (MOALs), as well as the measurability of the individual steps. In a weekly pulse check, the progress of the individual steps is discussed and documented. Shortly before the end of the iteration, a retrospective is conducted to determine whether the goals were set too high, too low, or just right, what went well, what can be improved, and what measures should be taken in the next iteration.
Subject description
The OKR method is derived from 'Objectives and Key Results'. The OKR method is a framework for working strategically towards defined goals. It helps to break down a vision into objectives and define key results for achieving the goals. The aim is to align teams and organizations with common priorities, make progress transparent, and involve employees more closely.
