Architecture adjustment of an EEG internet portal

Project duration: 3 months

Brief description

The EEG internet portal allows participating business partners (distribution system operators and suppliers) to independently enter the information required by the transmission provider under the Renewable Energy Act. With the adjustment of the application architecture, changes to the transmission provider's IT guidelines for such portal applications will be taken into account.

Supplement

The EEG Internet portal Java-based and will be divided into two separate components during the architecture adjustment process: frontend and backend. Communication between the frontend and backend takes place exclusively via WebServices that are provided by the backend using the CXF WebService Framework by Apache. The backend accesses an Oracle database via the Hibernate persistence framework.

Subject description

According to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), a transmission provider has the following responsibilities: (a) Discharge and reimbursement of the energy received by the distribution system operators within the transmission provider's control area, as defined by EEG, as well as incurred market premiums in the event of direct marketing. (b) Recording the energy received (quantity and chronological sequence) and the reimbursement payments made. (c) Horizontal adjustment: Adjusting the received energy and the reimbursements made between the 4 transmission providers in Germany. (d) Sale of the remaining energy at ÜNB after horizontal adjustment. (c) Proportionate allocation of the incurred costs for all electricity supply companies supplying end consumers within the provider's control area.
