Brief description

Detailed specification and data processing design for and development of the connection/integration of an external document management system into the agency management and information system. This increases the availability of the customer information within a user's area of responsibility, regardless of how the user accesses the systems. The document management system can be used online or offline.


In order to integrate the external document management system, adjustments need to be made to the user interfaces or operating elements of the agency management and information system; these adjustments are implemented with Delphi in Object Pascal. A Sybase SQL Anywhere database is responsible for data storage.

Subject description

Direct access to all information is important when it comes to improving customer service and ensuring the quality of customer support. Short processing times for business transactions are also important. One simple way of improving the situation in these areas is to introduce the option of electronic archiving with the help of a document management system. This connection to the agency management and information system gives users the opportunity to scan printed documents and directly allocate them to a customer in the system. The implementation of a mobile formula bar also gives representatives offline access to the documents in the electronic files.
