Blood donor database

Brief description
The application system is used to manage internal and external blood donors, their individual blood samples and various key figures for the donors.
Supplement
The system involves a client-server architecture with an SQL Server 2005 database as the back end and a WPF .net client on the basis of C# (3.5), developed with Visual Studio 2010 Professional. The target framework version is 3.5 because version 4.0 is not yet available to the customer [04/2011]. The system supports multiple clients, includes data encoding, automatic updates, an audit trail and various "ComponentOne" reports.
Subject description
As a manufacturer of medical analysis instruments (including blood analysis), the customer also requires blood samples in order to test and check its own products. It is important to test various blood types here. For example, the customer is looking for donors who take the "Marcumar" medication in order to check/test altered clotting characteristics. The customer therefore has a dedicated department in which internal employees and special external persons ("Marcumar") can donate blood. This blood is first examined by a laboratory and then used for the tests, if suitable. The donors are remunerated for their blood donations.
