Brief description
Expanding an existing package shipment data IT solution for book shipments. The arising data are merely passed through to support the operation, and the settlement occurs separately.

Creating interfaces for importing target data (i.e., preliminary information) from the subsidiary and for exporting scan data to the subsidiary, and modifications of the sorting system IT solution and the delivery driver hand-held device software (symbol) for the particularities of the book shipment business.
Subject description
Developing a branch office of the delivery service with a package sorting system for the German headquarters of the subsidiary; delivered book pallets are transported partially unopened, partially opened via the branch offices of the delivery service and delivered to book stores usually at night on special delivery runs (on secure premises). The goods issue posting is recorded and the risk transfer (e.g., Incoterms) is documented via barcode labels on the doors.
