Brief description

Development of a customer management and rating system for independent insurance brokers as a single-host appliance. Among other things, the system enables the electronic transfer of customer data from broker software, calculation of insurance proposals and electronic sending of insurance applications.

Supplement

The technical basis for the customer management and rating system is an existing system in a Windows Terminal Server (WTS) environment. The PostgreSQL database used there is replaced by an SQLite database in the single-host application. The legacy data from the previous single-host system is migrated automatically to the new system with the help of suitable procedures and without intervention by the user. One important aspect of the new development is the use of existing standard interfaces implemented in XML or COM technology for database access and service dialogs. Furthermore, a build server is installed and configured.

Subject description

The new development of the customer management and rating system is aimed at safeguarding and reinforcing sales of various insurance products through independent insurance brokers. The new broker solution offers numerous functions that support the sales process and that can be accessed via convenient user interfaces. This includes, in particular, entering and managing customer data, creating and editing offers and forwarding applications. The relationship between independent brokers and the group is also to be strengthened by improving or enhancing electronic data exchange.
