Clarify: software change management

In addition to expanding the data model and existing Clarify screens, new screens are developed and implemented for exporting reports of data in XML format so that they can be prepared in MS Word or MS Excel. Macros (developed for Word outside this project) are used to generate the documents related to the change requests in MS Word. For MS Excel, a macro is written in VBA. This macro generates lists from the Clarify data, and these lists form the basis for team meetings between developers and change request applicants in the local subsidiaries. In Clarify, an online interface is implemented to MS Visual Source Save (VSS). This interface makes it possible to generate an associated part in Clarify for the software components stored in VSS. This generation takes place automatically when a "VSS browser" is selected. A second online interface to VSS makes it possible to directly store file attachments of workflow objects in VSS, with version control.
