Creation of a Web service for controlling SAP workflow for IT requests

Durch die Erstellung eines WebService zur automatischen Ansteuerung des etablierten SAP-Workflows für IT-Anträge wird es ermöglicht, direkt aus Software-Anwendungen IT-Anträge für zusätzlich benötigte Komponenten / weitere Berechtigungen oder die Rückgabe derartiger Service-Items zu erzeugen. Den IT-Benutzern stehen somit neben dem bestehenden Werkzeug weitere kontextbezogene Möglichkeiten zur Beantragung von IT-Ressourcen zur Verfügung, was zur Effizienzsteigerung sowie zu Zeit- und Kostenersparnissen führen wird.
Supplement
The Web service is designed as a .NET WCF service and encapsulates the SAP Connector for Microsoft .NET 3.0. In addition to the actual communication with the SAP system, the relevant information of the created IT request is stored in the SQL Server data storage provided for this purpose in order to simplify later evaluations.
