Analysis of the existing IT architecture. The focus here is on examining the connections between existing applications and the associated database accesses.
Supplement
Another aspect of the analysis is the definition of the database configuration in terms of resultant database volumes for the 2004 financial year on the basis of existing data, as well as optimization of database accesses in terms of performance of the modules in questions. Possible risks are documented and corresponding solution scenarios developed.
