Endur upgrade V11 to V15

Brief description

The customer uses the Endur standard software from OpenLink. In order to remain future-oriented and ensure the best possible support from the manufacturer, the customer is updating its version 11 environment to the most recent version (15). PTA provides support to specialist departments in designing suitable test cases for the user acceptance test (UAT) and in carrying out integration tests. PTA also supervises the execution of the UAT. After the go-live for the new version, PTA employees are included in post-go-live support. As Endur is the central system, it maps essential business processes "front-to-end" and these need to be suitably covered by test cases. Furthermore, the system has a variety of interfaces that need to be tested functionally.

Given the tight schedule, one key factor here is efficiency. To ensure this, PTA employees apply the industry-specific knowledge they have gained over the years. They analyze existing test cases from older projects to identify those that can be reused and reduce the daily workload for the specialist departments by preparing tests cases and scenarios and carrying out the integration test. In addition, PTA employees coordinate all the test dates for the departments they have been assigned, and record and track any errors that occur. PTA also provides expertise when it comes to handling the systems used in the project. In particular, this includes the use of HP Quality Center (ALM) as a central testing tool, as well as the handling of Endur itself.

Subject description

The customer uses Endur from OpenLink to map its energy trading transactions, some of which are complex, and the associated master and transaction data in the fields of gas, oil and coal. Almost all of the company's departments work with the system as it maps many areas, such as recording contracts and transactions, saving price curves, creating confirmations, preparing for billing (for subsequent further handling in SAP), calculating key risk figures and performing simulations, as well as planning optimized asset management.
