Brief description
In order to increase the number of sales, the functions for offering alternative items when specific items are not available are enhanced. Categories of alternative items are introduced, multiple assignment of alternatives from various categories is established and the option is introduced of using items that are not available as alternatives.

In the context of agile software development (scrum), there is a detailed analysis based on the requested technical functions (features). An as-is analysis is used to break the features down into packages, prioritize the features and pass them on to development in the form of stories. Self-defined functional test cases are used by the developer to accept the functions implemented in the Java application. All the implemented functions are documented in the form of use case documents. Functional sequences are modeled in Agilian with the help of BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation).
Subject description
Alternative items are either directly included when unavailable goods are ordered or they are offered in the context of the subsequent delivery process if the goods can no longer be delivered, or not on time. There are various categories of alternative items, e.g. identical, alternatives sizes and colors, successor models, etc. Each item can have one or more alternatives. Alternative items can also be included if they themselves are not available immediately but have a sufficiently short delivery time. In principle, it is also possible to find alternatives to alternatives. Which alternative items are determined for a purchase order and whether these are offered or included depends on the customer company’s specifications in this area.
